Skjerpet ligger i nordøstsiden og i den bratteste delen av Røhovda ca. 1040 m.o.h. Det består av en 34 meter lang røskegrøft orientert i øst-vest retning (115 grader). Grøfta er hele veien 0.5-0.75 m dyp. Det er sprengt litt i den vestligste enden av grøfta hvor hovedmineraliseringen finnes. Mineraliseringen består av rik impregnasjon av magnetkis, dels i form av cm-tykke massive bånd parallell foliasjonen i en matriks av kloritt, biotitt og grønn amfibol, dels som uregelmessige slirer og årer i kvarts (prøver ST0391.01 og 02). Enkelte små aggregater av kobberkis forekommer i de mer massive magnetkisbåndene. Den mineraliserte sonen har en mektighet på ca. 3 meter og er omgitt av finkornet biotitt-amfibolskifer, sannsynligvis metabasalt. Det er også en 25 cm mineralisert sone 8 m fra østenden av grøfta. Mineraliseringen her består av semimassiv magnetkis med noe kobberkis omgitt av granatholdig biotitt-kloritt-amfibolskifer (prøve ST0391.03).

Comment :Very finegrained pyrrhotite in rich impregnation in biotite-quartz matrix and contains also a 2-3 mm massive pyrrhotite layer with some small aggregates of chalcopyrite.

En røsk langs strøket ca. 50 høydemeter lavere i terrenget enn hovedskjerpet. Røsken består av utsprengt materiale i opptil 0.5 kbm blokker, samt avflekking av berggrunnen mot vest i en lengde av 20-25 meter. Det meste av røsken består av grønnstein, mens mineralisering er blottlagt i de østligste 7-8 meter. Mineralisering består av flere soner i opptil 1 meters bredde med rik til semimassiv magnetkis i amfibol-kvartsskifer. Magnetkis opptrer i 0.1-0.5 mm korn i finkornet kvarts, dels med sub-mm amfibolnåler. Det er typisk en mm bånding pga. variasjon i kornstørrelse og mineralinnhold.
