Forekomsten ligger 3 km vest for Brokksjøvola, ved en sti på østsida av Råvvåtjørnbekken i åpent, myrlendt fjellterreng. Skjerpet er 4x4 m stort med en 2-3 m høy skjæring i sørøst og 120 m3 tipp i nordøst. Mineraliseringen ble mutet i 1900 av P. Birch i Selbu på vegne av Ingebrigt O. og Peder J. Østby. Skjerpet er trolig eldre. Vertsbergarten er en gråhvit, kvartsittisk sandstein med enkelte amfibol-rikere bånd. Malmen er i hovedsak svak til sterk disseminasjon av kobberkis og magnetkis med varierende mengder sinkblende og pyritt. Kobberkis og magnetkis opptrer dels i årer som skjærer foliasjonen, mens sinkblende danner linser parallelt denne. Malmsonas mektighet og orientering er vanskelig å bestemme. Forekomsten har likhetstrekk med mineraliseringene ved Langdalsvollen (ST0121) som ligger 4 km lengre vestnordvest.

Skjerpet ligger 15 m vest for hovedforekomsten og består av en 2x2 m grop med en opptil 1 m høy skjæring i sør. Pyritt er dominerende sulfid i grågrønn, kvartsittisk sandstein, mens kobberkis opptrer i mindre mengder. Sulfidene opptrer i aggregater og danner opptil 10 cm tykke og få dm lange mineraliserte linser parallelt foliasjonen.
