| Stangeland er en ubetydelig sulfidmineralisering i sørskråningen av Liarfjell rett sør for Kopervik. Skjerpet ligger rett opp for en rasteplass ved en tursti gjennom området. Det består av en 3x2,5 m vannfylt grop i bunnen av en 8 m høy brattskrent. Tippen er fullstendig gjengrodd. Sulfidmineraliseringen er en 30-40 cm bred sone med svak til moderat disseminasjon av pyritt i dels porfyrisk doleritt. Lokalt finnes også korte, 1-4 cm brede pyritt-rike årer eller linser med kloritt-rik grunnmasse. En representativ prøve fra fast fjell er innsamlet (prøve .01). Malmsonas orientering (250°/60°) er tilnærmet parallell skifrigheten (255°/65°) i den dels kraftig deformerte doleritten. Spredte rustflekker sees også i stupet rett ovenfor skjerpet. |
