| Mineraliseringen er første gang anmeldt i 1899. En rustsone, ca. 20 m mektig, forløper N-S i stupet sør for Isbakkvatnet. Rustne nedfallsblokker viser grovbladig toglimmerskifer (spesielt mye muskovitt), småfoldet klorittskifer og grafittholdig skifer, alle med noe magnetkis-disseminasjon. |

| I 1961 ble det bestemt å iverksette regionale malmundersøkelser over kyststrøket Vest-Finnmark - Nord-Troms. Som ledd i dette program søker en å lokalisere de malmforekomster og mineraliserte soner som måtte finnes i distriktet og på denne måte få avgrenset områder for mer detaljerte undersøkelser. Listen omfatter 180 anmeldinger av i alt 427 punkter. |
