| Malmblotningen SV for dammen ved Stormyra-tjernet (Durmålstuva) er et 1 m tykt mt-malmlag i skarn. I tidsrommet 1902-1909 ble det skjerpet følgende steder: I Vika (1,2 km N for Bjarkøy tettsted) I Skavlia (3 km V for Bjarkøy tettsted) På Jurøya (4 km NV for Bjarkøy tettsted). Men det viste seg at det kun dreide seg om små malmklatter. På Jurøya ble noen få tonn malm tatt ut. Både hovedforekomsten og de to "Mindre skjerp" er meget små malmlinser. Hovedforekomsten er befart og koordinatene bekreftet, mens de to "Mindre skjerp" ikke er oppsøkt. |
