Skjerpet er avmerket på foreløpig berggrunnskart Takvatnet. Røskegropa er imidlertid gjenfylt med søppel, og tippen er helt overgrodd. Det er heller ikke funnet mineraliserte blotninger i nærheten.

Silurian sediments, volcanics and mineral deposits in the Sagelvvatn area, Troms, North Norway.

Abstract:
Low-grade metamorphic rocks of the Sagelvvatn area in Troms reflect a regressive and transgressive cycle within the Lower Silurian. The carbonates, which contain halysitid corals indicating an Upper Llandovery age, are interpreted as shallow marine deposits. In the area a carboante-evaporite tidal sequence interdigitates with tholeitic greenstones of within-plate geochemical affinity. The final regional transgression is represented by the Hansvoll Formation which is thought to have been deposited as a hemipelagic/pelagic hypersaline limestone. The full sequence, the Sagelvvatn Group recors sedimentation and volcanism in an arid climate on a Lower Silurian continental shelf. Zinc deposits occur in the carbonate-evaporite sequence (a reservoir rock); volcanic rocks with a high zinc content are interpreted as the main source of the metals.
