Mineraliseringen ble funnet i forbindelse med radiometriske bilmålinger i 1994 og befinner seg i et steinbrudd like vest for veien mellom Setermoen og Altevatn. Den stratabundne mineraliseringen er 20 cm mektig, er blottet over en lengde på 5 m og består av disseminasjon av magnetkis og kobberkis i glimmerskifer (prøve 01 og 02). 5 m under mineraliseringen er kontakten til liggba. som er grovkornet turmalin-muskovitt-granitt (03). Den er 35 m mektig.
