Forekomsten ligger rett øst for den nedlagte Nystul seter med tippen i utkanten av grasmarka. Enkleste adkomst er via en bomvei som tar av fra veien opp mot sørvestenden av Breidvatnet like etter et veidele nordvestover mot Skjesvatnet. Skjerpet ligger i skogkanten og er en rektangulær dagskjæring med sidevegger som er 2,5x1,2 m lange og 1-2 m høye. I vcggene opptrer karbonatomvandlet, middelskornet amfibolitt/metagabbro med svakt definert foliasjon, 198º/80º. Sentralt i vestveggen finnes en 1-3 cm bred kvartsåre med retning 286º/80º . Korte strenger av kobberkis og noen sølvblanke korn, vismutglans? opptrer i denne. Svak sulfidmineralisering finnes også i sidebergarten. Forekomsten har ubetydelig størrelse. |
