| Description |
| Forekomsten har vært drevet sporadisk i flere perioder, men etter driftshvile siden midten av 1970-tallet er nye uttak nylig igangsatt (2003). Steinen benyttes til murestein og grove villheller (5-10 cm), samt i mindre grad til bearbeidet gulvflis. Steinbruddet viser en minst 15 meter mektig sone av kløvbar, steiltstående amfibolitt, hvorav 3-4 meter utgjør en kjerne av best kvalitet. Både på sidene av bruddet og i strøkforlengelsen kan det forekomme større reserver. Amfibolitten er skifrig til foliert, og har en sort til mørk grå overflate. I strøkforlengelsen har bruddet nådd naboeiendommen, og skal derfor stenges innen utgangen av 2007. |
