| Nederst i Jarfjord gneiskompleks finnes en mørk grønn amfibolitt som ofte har kvartsbåndet jernmalm. Hoveddelen av formasjonen utgjøres av glimmergneis med kraftig migmatittdannelse. Innen glimmergneisen opptrer enkelte amfibolitter med svake kvartsbåndede jernmalmer, som på nordsiden av Oksebåsneset på Skogerøya. Formasjonen med magnetitt-mineraliseringer fortsetter nordover til Kjelmøya. |
