The deposit is located on the southern summit of the Skograudberget mountain, circa 20km E of Nordli center, and about 500m along an accessible forestry road to the mineralization. The area is located in a protected forest reserve with bears. Sporadic pyrrhotite mineralization in ultrabasite, partly massive, partly schlieren. The ultrabasite body (possibly metaperidotite) is parted by an EW running cleft, probably a thrust. The body covers an area of at least 1000H750m and is embedded in a Namsen Group mica schist. Sulphides have been observed in 4 locations near the trigonal point. An analysis by Grong Gruber reveals: 0.94wt% Cu, 0.44wt% Ni, 0.00wt% Zn. The northern summit has no mineralization.
