| Mineraliseringen har utgående i øst-skråningen av Stornyken, på et platå i en høyde av 120-130 m.o.h. Det er røsket og sprengt litt i årene 1900 - 03. Poulsen (1936) foretok magnetometermålinger i 1935. Mineraliseringen kan følges over en strøklengde på ca. 150m i nordøst- sør- vestlig retning og bredde på 20 - 30m. Det dreier seg om magnetitt- ilmenittdisseminasjon i en foliert, middelskornig gabbro med små linser (få dm til 1m mektige) av massiv magnetitt-ilmenitt. Den største er ca. 10x3m. Ved UTM 493690 7633370 (130 m.o.h.) er det gabbro med magnetitt- ilmenittdisseminasjon (prøve 01) med linser av semimassiv mineralisering (prøve 02). Ved UTM 493760 7633430 (120 m.o.h.) er det ei 2 - 3m mektig linse av massiv magnetitt - ilmenitt med feltspatøyne og noe magnetkis (prøve 03). |
