Forekomsten består av en vel 1,6 km lang mt.-mineralisering med bakkeutslag på 9000-16000 gamma. Den kan oppfattes som en nordlig utløper av Lasken-feltet 4 km lenger SSV. Søndre Dunderland øvre-draget (335-435 moh.) ligger 1,1 km øst og sørøst for Søndre Dunderland nedre-draget (140-175 moh.). Det er gått 10 bakkemagnetometriske profiler i draget som domineers av magnetittimpregnert amfibolitt. Mektigheten på mineraliserigen i profilene varierer mellom 15 og 50m.
