A linear magnetic anomaly in Runddalen, SW of Skoddebergvatnet, appears to be the northwards continuation of the Kleven iron formation. The central part of the anomaly is covered by scree and glacial material, but minor outcrops along a stream show calcareous mica schist with disseminated magnetite. The iron formation is at least 2 m thick (Sample JSFE1418), and is situated above a 5 m thick marble on top of garnet mica schist. The strike is N-S with moderate dips towards west (185°/35°). |
