Storjord magnetittmalm --------------------------------- Forekomsten ligger på toppen av den 120 m høye Storhaugen, 300 m øst for E6 og 2.5 km sør for Bognes ferjeleie. Malmen er rik, båndet, med 0.2 - 8 mm store magnetittkorn. Malmen er oppstykket i 2 linser p.g.a. granittintrusjonen. Tonnasjen er: Tykkelse Lengde Dyp Tonn spes.v. 4.1 ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Storjord, nordre linse: 6.25 m 40 m 20 m 20.500 tonn Storjord, søndre linse: 17.14 m 70 m 50 m 246.000 tonn ----------------------------- SUM: 266.500 tonn ----------------------------- Middelverdi av 6 analyserte prøver fra forekomsten foretatt ved Norsk Jernverk: Fe tot. Fe magn. MnO TiO2 P S 52.1 % 50.9 % 0.40 % 0.90 % 0.080 % 0.005 % Are Korneliussen, NGU har prøvetatt malmen og funnet at sporelementanalyse viser høyt innhold av Y, Ce, La, U og Th.
