Skjerpingen har iflg. lokalfolk foregått omkring 1910-20. Det er skjerpet ut ca. 7m3 i en nordvendt skrent. Mineraliseringen er stratabunden i grafittholdig, fyllittisk glimmerskifer (prøve 01, 02 og 03). Svovelkis er eneste synlige ertsmineral, bortsett fra spor av sinkblende. Det er disseminering over en mektighet på 3.5m og minst 200m lengde. Svovelkis er disseminert i enkeltkorn (krystaller opptil 5mm) og utdradde slirer av få mm lengde. Kisen er relativt jevnt fordelt i sonen, ca. 20% svovelkis i gjennomsnitt, i visse lag mer, opptil 30-35%. Både heng og ligg består av glimmerskifer, tildels med smale kvarts- bånd og stedvis med granat.
