Kjøpstad - Eidvika magnetittmalm. Den nye kystriksveien har gitt en malmblotning i Eidvika, 300 m SV for tunnelåpningen. Skjerpet 90 m.o.h. øst for Kjøpstad er overgrodd med frodig bjørkeskog. Disse to kjendte malmsteder er: m.o.h. Tykkelse Lengde UTM-øst - nord --------------------------------------------------------- Veiskjæring i Eidvika 25 2m 75m 468300 - 7440050 Skjerp i bjørkeskog 90 2m 100m 468100 - 7439300 Tonnasjen er liten: Tykkelse Lengde Dyp Tonnasje (sp.v.3,5) ----------------------------------------------------------------- Veiskjæring Eidvika 2m 75m 20m 10500 tonn Skjerp i bjørkeskog 2m 100m 20m 14000 " ------------------ Sum 24500 tonn 5 prøver fra Eidvika gir følgende middelverdier: 35.8 % Fe-total, 29.6 % Fe-magn., 24,3 % Fe-magn., 0,18 % P og 0,06 % S. Malmen fører: Ca. 25 vol.% magnetitt " 60 " diopsid og hornblende 0-10 " kvarts 0-6 " karbonat 0-5 " granat Derfor er Fe-silikat så høy (11,5%).
