De mineraliserte systemer av kvartsganger (10-150 cm brede) finnes øverst i østlia av Jamtfjelldalen, men tilsvarende systemer finnes også nedover lia mot dalbunnen i vest hvor de ifølge BV? er gullførende. Mineraliseringen ble påvist i 1983 av BP Norge A/S Minerals. Systemene med kvartsganger omfatter både enkelte stående ganger, breksjeganger med forgreninger, sett med parallelle ganger og "en echelon"-systemer av ganger. Bare enkelte av disse fører sulfider, dvs. ganger som har vært utsatt for senere deformasjon med assosiert oppsprekning av gangkanten. Disse sprekker fører disseminerte korn og uregelmessige aggregater av blyglans og kobberkis (Hovedanvisning), svovelkis (Nordlige anv.) og aksessorisk arsenkis (Sørlige anv.). Noen av gangene fører også litt kloritt. Kvartsgangen står på tvers av foliasjonen i de svakt migmatittiske granat-biotitt-gneisene. Gangene, som er 5-30 cm lange, har strøk/fall: 115/70, 82/62 (Hovedgang), 90/90, 109/75, 102/90, 121/80, 313/72 (Nordre anv.), 75/80, 99/60 (Sørlige anv.)

Abstract:

The principal geological and tectonostratigraphic divisions of the bedrock within the area of mapsheet Mosjøen are: (1) Precambrian basement rocks with minor occurrences of possible Cambrian cover sediments, (2) the Susendalen Nappe, (3) the Seve-Køli Nappe Complex, (4) the Rødingsfjell Nappe, and (5) the Helgeland Nappe Complex. Short accounts of economic geology (ores and industrial minerals) are given.
