Mineraliseringen ble påvist i et reinstråkk over en liten skrent nordøst for Saksvatnet. Det er ingen synlige tegn til røsking i området. Den er en vasskishorisont som kan følges stedvis i 80 m lengde. Utstrekningen er bekreftet av VLF-målinger. Vasskisen er opptil 0,5 m mektig og dominert av jernsulfider. Tektonostratigrafisk under sonen finnes kalkrik grønnstein, mens over opptrer mørk jernrik grønnstein. Keratofyr er ikke tilknyttet mineraliseringen.
