Bruddet ble nevnt i Stjørdalingen 5.mars 1946 om at det søkes om støtte til oppstart av skiferproduksjon. Bruddet står inngjerdet rett ved Fosslia idrettshall. Takbergarten beskrives som å være i særdeles dårlig forstand.
Historic
Iver Fosslien skal, ifølge Historiefortelleren, ha drevet skiferbruddet i perioden etter 1828 til 1850.
