Three layers of dolostone of the Storviknes Formation are exposed south of lake Nihkejavri. The central layer is about 25 m thick in the locality and comprises Cu-mineralisation in the lower (westernmost) part of the layer. Reddish, banded dolostone comprises quartz lenses and disseminations and veinlets of bornite and chalcopyrite over a thickness of ca. 0,5-1 m approximately one meter above the contact to the underlying greenish schistose siltstone.

The central of three dolomite layers is 17-18 m thick in the locality. Massive and laminated to banded, locally strongly folded dolostone intercalated with thin siltstone bands comprises the lower part of this layer. The Cu-mineralisation occurs as disseminations of bornite and minor chalcocite and digenite in the lowermost, few dm-thick massive dolostone. The underlying greenish siltstone is more reddish along the contact to the dolostone. Only very weak disseminations of Cu-sulphides were observed in the lower (30-40 m thick, westernmost) and the upper dolostone layer (5 m thick, easternmost).
