Skjerpet ligger i tett skog på sørenden av Vikåsen, ca. 100 m NNØ for Åshaugen. Lokalt er det også kalt Stalin-skjerpet, men det er ikke kjent når det var aktivitet i området. En vannfylt grop med diameter ca. 4 m ligger sør for en stollåpning som er ca. 1 m høy over vannspeilet, og kan være 3-4 m lang. Over stollåpningen finnes rustfarget grønnstein som er ca. 1 m mektig og en sone med mer massive sulfider. Den er ca. 80 cm mektig, men ikke tilgjengelig før vanndammen er frosset til. Sør for gropa finnes en tipphaug med svært forvitrete blokker av massiv til semimassiv svovelkis og magnetkis. Kun få korn med kobberkis ble påvist.
