Innenfor et område på 100x50 m er det flere forvitringshauger med massiv titanomagnetitt i et ellers overdekket område. På en lokalitet er det sprengt ut 3 m3 i en blotning. Titanomagnetitt-malmen (prøve 01-04) er massiv, og mulig tilstedeværelse av andre Fe-Ti-mineraler (ilmenitt, hematitt o.a.) er sannsynlig. Med hensyn til mineraliseringens størrelse og form er det usikre faktorer, men Fosdalen Bergverksselskap A/S har utført magnetiske bakkemålinger. Omgivende bergart er båndet granittisk gneis, og vel 500 m mot Ø er det en metagabbro-kropp med koronittisk tekstur.
