Forekomsten ligger i en østvendt brattskråning vest for gården Fosso. Mindre drift ble gjort av Skibdalen Kobberverk fra 1645 til ca. 1650. En 12 m lang gjenrast skråsynk finnes i bunnen av en brattskrent. I heng opptrer muskovittførende kvarts-feltspat gneis med svakt fall mot vest. Svak disseminasjon av kobberglans finnes i denne (prøve TE0006.01). Tynne kvartsårer tilsynelatende uten sulfidmineraliseringer finnes i stuffer på den svært gjengrodde tippen.
