Forekomsten ligger sør for en hytte som ligger rett på sørsida av det store deponiet etter utbyggingen av vanntunnelen fra Breidvatnet til Hjartdal. En sti på vestsida av deponiet fører ned til hytta og ca. 150 m fra denne finnes et lite, overgrodd skjerp som er 2-3 m langt og 0,5-1 m bredt. Fin- til middelskornet amfibolitt med foliasjon 276º/80ºer blottet i mindre knauser omkring. I skjerpet opptrer en 3-6 cm bred kvartsåre med aggregater av magnetkis og mindre mengder kobberkis og pyritt. Den har orientering 218º/75º. Stuffer på tippen antyder at åra kan ha vært minst 15 cm bred. Forekomsten er uten økonomisk interesse. |
