Et lite skjerp ligger rett på nordsida av Tjørnstøylvatnet, ca. 10 m fra vannkanten. Det er skutt ut i 1 meters bredde og opptil 2 meters høyde i en liten knaus. Berggrunnen består av relativt bløt, finkornet, karbonatførende grønnstein med små karbonat-kvarts linser parallelt foliasjonen med strøk 286°/85-90°. I tillegg finnes kvarts-karbonat årer som skjærer denne. Kvartsstuffer på tippen er opptil 10-15 cm store og fører litt malakitt og svært svak disseminasjon av kobberkis. Forekomsten har ingen økonomisk betydning.
