| Mineraliseringen ligger tett ved veien mellom Bolkesjø og Notodden, noen hundre meter sør for Bolkesjø Hotell. Den ble påvist i 1966 av Erling Rua. I en mindre veiskjæring inn mot et bolighus finnes en 5-10 cm bred linse/åre med Mn-mineraler i fin- til grovkornet (opptil 3-4 mm) kvarts. Nordøstover for veiskjæringa går en 30-40 m bred rygg langs veien. Ryggen domineres av tynn- til mellomtykk benket kvartsitt, som dels er finlaminert. Det er ingen spor etter arbeid ved forekomsten som må regnes som ubetydelig. |
