En traktorvei kan følges fra gården Kolberg, under E 139 og fram til skjerpet. Det består av en liten vannfylt grop i et knausete terreng med glissen furuskog. Båndet, middelskornet diorittisk gneis dominerer i blotninger omkring skjerpet. Moderat til svak disseminasjon av pyritt finnes i blokker av denne gneisen på tippen, og mineraliseringen er trolig av fahlbånd-type.
