This pit is located at the SE extreme of the grassland near the Langdalstjønna lake. It consists of a 6H5m trench, 2-5m deep. Pyrrhotite occurs occasionally in 2-3mm large grains in the gabbro/norite rock that occurs throughout the area in minor amounts. In a small tailings heap, massive coarse pyrrhotite in 1-2cm grains was found, together with millimetre sized magnetite and traces of chalcopyrite.

Rapport over feltarbeidene i Ringerike, sommeren 1969
;Norsk Hydro / NGU;RAPPORT;NH-arkivet; No.NH 52;38+kart pages
Abstract:
Omtalte og befarte forekomster: Grefsrud skjerp, Ertelien, Skjerpevik gruve, Kauserud skjerp, Ullentjern skjerp, Orretjern skjerp,Skog (Skaug) gruve, Tysklands gruve, Langedals gruve (inkl. Bekken og Støvern gruver), Støverntangen gruve. Fins også i BV-arkivet (DMFs database for undersøkelsesrapporter) merket BV 1345.
