Forekomsten er registrert i en veiskjæring langs en skogsbilvei som går fra Kolbotn og nordvest oppover lia på vestsida av fjellet Trona. Flekkvis sulfidmineralisering finnes langs denne veien i et område hvor Blackstone Ventures utførte diamantboringer i perioden 2005-08 (totalt 8 hull). Sulfidmineraliseringene består av semimassiv til disseminert magnetkis og mindre mengder kobberkis i finkornet melanogabbro.
