Forekomsten ligger i en brattskråning på østsida av Rauhaugen vel 1 km NNV for forekomstene på Andreasberg. Den består av et grunt (opptil 80 cm), vannfyllt skjerp som er 2-3 m bredt og 8 m langt med retning 340°. I den steile bergveggen i vest dominerer sterkt oppsprukket, middelskornet og dels sulfidførende peridotitt og i brattskråningen nedenfor i øst er foliert anortositt. Sulfidsona er uregelmessig, 0,5-1 m bred og består av disseminert til semi-massiv magnetkis+kobbekis i melanonoritt/noritt. Massiv finkornet magnetkis+kobberkis med bergartsfragmenter finnes på tippen som ligger spredt nedover østskråningen og har volum på ca. 120 kbm. Forekomsten ligger tilnærmet langs strøket for mineraliseringene i Kong Knut som ligger 900 m lengre NNV.
