Forekomsten ligger i den NØ-delen av Kirkebyfeltet som domineres av hornfels, som er omdannede kambriske til undersiluriske slambergarter med kalksteinlinser. Arbeidene består av to dels vannfylte, relativt grunne dagskjæringer/groper orientert NØ-SV over en lengde på ca. 35 m. Malmsonen er ikke blottet, men mørk biotitthornfels finnes stedvis i veggene. Mellom gropene finnes en tipp med volum ca. 150 kbm. Mineraliseringene består av disseminasjon av finkornet molybdenglans i fin- til middelskornet granat?-feltspat-kalkspatskarn og magnetitt-svovelkis i båndet granat?-pyroksenskarn.

Skjerpet består av en grunn, vannfylt grop med vegger på 8 og 2-4 m. I blokker på tippen dominerer svovelkis-magnetitt mineralisert granat-pyroksenskarn som i hovedskjerpet. Molybdenglans ble ikke påvist.
