| Forekomsten ligger ca. 200 m ovenfor hyttene i bunnen av Gambogdalen og er korrekt avmerket på NGUs kart. Det har vært drevet 2 ca. 30 m lange og 5 m brede dagbrudd på en ganske rik grafittskifer. Skiferen er imidlertid dårlig krystallinsk og finkornet. Grafittskiferen er blottet i en mektighet av 4 m i et av bruddene. Forekomsten var i drift rundt 1900, og drevet av Anglo Norwegian mining INC. Området ellers er sterkt overdekket, og det er vanskelig å få noe inntrykk av mektighet og struktur. |
