| Forekomsten er tidligere (Bergarkivet) kalt Magerfjellet. Den ble på 1970- eller -80-tallet søkt gjenfunnet (ukjent oppdragsgiver), men det ble bare funnet svovelkis-impregnasjon i sandstein på Magerfjellet. På arkivkort i Bergarkivet står det imidlertid at forekomsten ligger ved Holmvatnet. Ved Holmvatnets SV-ende, 10 m fra vannkanten, er det på ei sprekkeflate blottet en grovkornig kvarts (dels som bergrystall) - kalkspatgang med kobberkis som disseminasjon og ansamlet i større klumper (prøve 01). Gangen er blottet over 1.5 m lengde og 1.5 m høyde. Mektigheten er 15 cm. Gangen ligger diskordant, med skarpe kontakter, i finkornig, lys sandstein. Sandsteinen fører nær gangen, på begge sider, svak impregnasjon (og på hårtynne sprekker) av finkornig kobberkis (prøve 02). Det opptrer endel smalere kvarts(-karbonat)ganger av flere retninger, uten mineralisering, i området. |
