På dette sted har det ikke vært noen drift på kalk tidligere. Forekomsten er sannsynligvis registrert p.g.a at mye kalk er synlig i veiskjeringene ned mot Åkre. Kalken er grålig og urein. Den er sterkt oppblandet med slirer av glimmerskifer. Området er ikke gunstig for drift på grunn av terrenget og bebyggelse. Kjemiske analyser viser at kalken har et CaO og MgO innhold på rundt 41 og 7 %. Dette tilsier at kalken er ganske urein med et kalkspatinnhold på 56%
