Description

Forekomsten ble forsøkt befart, men måtte oppgis grunnet bratt terreng. Da forekomsten ble drevet, ble uttatt blokk firt ned i dalbunnen ved hjelp av taubane.

Location

Adkomsten til forekomsten var fra en vei som går nordover Kleivrudåsen og som svinger sørover igjen samtidig som den går lenger øst og etter hvert kommer inn i meget bratt terreng. Det har gått ras som har tatt med seg veien, og forekomsten er i dag utilgjengelig uten klatreutstyr. Forekomsten ligger i dalsida rett over for der Ula renner ut i Gudbrandsdalslågen.

Abstract:

Rapporten behandler kleberforekomster i Nord-Gudbrandsdalen utenom områdene Åsårlia-Nysetri-Fredheimbruddet og Råsdalsfjell (rapp. 1709H) og omr. NV for Vågåmo (rapp. 1709/C). De undersøkte klebersteinforekomstene er stort sett små og av ingen eller marginal økonomisk betydning med unntak av forekomstene i Lesjehorrungane som er på flere millioner tonn. Rapporten inneholder for de fleste forekomstene detaljerte opplysninger om klebersteinens mineralsammensetning og kjemi. Alle befarte forekomster er tegnet inn på kart (kartbilag 01-26).

Abstract:

Forkortet: By Central Norway is here meant the three great valleys Østerdal, Gudbrandsdal and Valdres with their surroundings. In the district around lake Mjøsa there are opportunities for studying the differnt characteristics of the structure of the earth's crust in the different kinds of soft rocks which the Silurian etages or groups of strata consist and in the thicker and harder beds of sand- stone and sparagmite; in the former the foldings are characteristic, in the latter fracture planes or faults; inversion are common, but the greater overthrusts have not been detected (p.31). The pre-Cambrian strata in the Mjøsa district consist of the following divisions from above: (Ollenellus shales)/ Quartz-sandstone-goup/. The light (colored) Sparagmite with conglomerate./Birikalk (limestone)/Biri.conglomerate/.The Dark Sparagmite and shales.
