| Description |
| Flere gamle skiferbrudd finnes i forekomsten. Det antas at drift har foregått siden midten av 1800-tallet. I dag er ingen av bruddene i drift. Skiferen i forekomsten er vesentlig av Pillarguritype Ottaskifer, svart med markerte nåler av hornblende. I partier er skiferen relativt sterkt foldet (særlig i vestlige del). I slike partier blir vrakandelen høy, og skiferoverflaten får en markant, ruglete karakter. Stedvis er i tillegg sprekketettheten høy. Selv om ikke de gamle bruddene direkte inviterer til gjennopptakelse av drift, kan området inneholde interessante reserver. |
