| Bruddet og produksjonsanlegget ligger like ved E39 og ca. 2.5 km sør for Førde sentrum. Dagens brudd strekker seg 75 - 100 m mot vest, hvor topografien også stiger slakt oppover. Overdekningen i området er middels, med furuskog og lyng- og mosedekke. Forekomsten synes å egne seg best til murestein da bergarten forholdsvis lett splitter opp. Det er også gjort forsøk med blokkstein, men polerbarheten er dårlig på grunn av mye glimmer. |
