| Description |
| Bergarten er en høymetamorf, mørk gneis. Grunnet metamorfosegraden er feltspaten mørk grønn, og det er hovedårsaken til at bergarten er så mørk. Den er brukt som murestein. Bruddet er drevet som en skjæring i 80 m lengde, og ikke mye stein kan være tatt ut. Partier i det som er blottet ser ikke ut til å ha særlig gode spalteegenskaper, derfor er det usikkert om bergarten er velegnet til murestein. Arbeidet som er gjort her må betegnes som prøvedrift. |

| Fra syd er det to veier som fører til Heskestad, en langs sjøen fra SV og en rett sydfra. Forekomsten ligger på nordsiden inntil veien SV-fra, og 300 m før krysset til veien som kommer sydfra. |
