| Beliggenhet. Forekomsten som tidligere er registrert i Bergarkivet er ikke lengre tilgjengelig da den ligger i Namsen etter oppdemmingen av elva. Helt i kanten av elva på sørsida av denne, 150-200 m sørøst for gårdsbygningen finnes noen blotninger. Ellers er overdekningen nesten total i det mineraliserte området. Forekomsten ble oppdaget i 1912 av Joh. Faamaar. Geologi. En sekvens av amfibolitt og kalkstein med gjennomsettende lyse granittslirer. Amfibolitten er dels aktinolitt- og granatrik. Kobberkis finnes bare i partier, overveiende disseminert i den grønne amfibolitten. Det er oppgitt i Bergarkivet at det mineraliserte partiet opptrer i kalkstein og at det er 9 m bredt. Mineralisering i kalkstein ble ikke påvist ved undesøkelsene i 1991. |
