| Description |
| Bergarten er en lys grå, lagdelt sandstein tilhørende Kvitvoladekket som spalter i tykkelser som gjør den meget egnet å bruke til muring. Passe avstand mellom spalteplanene og oppsprekking vinkelrett på disse gjør at muresteinen nærmest er ferdig bearbeidet etter å ha blitt sprengt løs fra fjellet. En solid stein, og i det hele tatt en utmerket ressurs som murestein både når det gjelder kvalitet og mengde. Forekomsten kom i drift ca. år 2000, og drives av grunneier som attåtnæring til jordbruk. Det meste av produksjonen går til hytteområdene i Hafjell og Kvitfjell, men finanskrisa har ført til mindre etterspørsel i den senere tid (april 2009). |
