Kobberforekomsten Galteland befinner seg omtrent 500 m sør for tettbebyggelsen i Galteland, oppe i lia opp mot Raudkletten langs en bekk. Det er her en smal sone med mineralisering som kan følges ca. 130 meter i SSØ retning. Forekomsten ble befart av Chr. Münster i 1908 som fant den helt uten interesse. Lengst nord er det et lite skjerp i form av et innhugg i en skrent, ca. 5 m langt og 5 m høyt. Mineralisering her er en ca. 1 m mektig sone med båndet til sliret impregnasjon av magnetkis og kobberkis med aksessorisk sinkblende og pyritt i biotittrik kvartsmatriks. Sonen har strøk/fall 135/60 grader. Mineraliseringen ligger i en finkornet amfibolittisk gneis. ca. 90 m SSØ for skjerpet er det en blotning i bekken med en ca. 25 cm sone med finkornet disseminasjon magnetkis med noe kobberkis i biotittrik amfibol-kvartsmatriks. Sonen har skarp grense til omgivende amfibolittisk gneis. ca. 130 m SSØ for skjerpet, langs bekken, er det en overgrodd røskegrop, ca. 2x2 m og inntil 75 cm dyp. Her ligger det en del blokker med rik disseminasjon til semimassiv magnetkis med kobberkis og dels sinkblende. En av blokkene er 30x30 cm og viser dermed en minimums bredde på den mineraliserte sonen. Det er ellers ingen blotninger av sonen her. I ligg for sonen er det en lys kvarts-feltspatgneis med amfibolnåler.

En blotning i bekken med en ca. 25 cm sone med finkornet disseminasjon magnetkis med noe kobberkis i biotittrik amfibol-kvartsmatriks. Sonen har skarp grense til omgivende amfibolittisk gneis.

En overgrodd røskegrop, ca. 2x2 m og inntil 75 cm dyp. Her ligger det en del blokker med rik disseminasjon til semimassiv magnetkis med kobberkis og dels sinkblende. En av blokkene er 30x30 cm og viser dermed en minimums bredde på den mineraliserte sonen. Det er ellers ingen blotninger av sonen her. I ligg for sonen er det en lys kvarts-feltspatgneis med amfibolnåler.
