Sulfidmineraliseringen ligger i det vestlige hjørne av avkjørselen til Olavskulen. Skjerpet ligger ca. 10 m fra veien og er lett å finne. Sandgota, som ligger 150 m vest for skjerpet, er nermeste navngitte lokalitet. Skjerpets tverrsnitt er ca. 2x2 m, det er 1-1.5 m dybt. Området er helt dekt med vegetasjon, og intet sulfidlag i fast fjell ble observert. Orienteringen av sidebergarten -en forskifret basalt- er 54/48°NV, og sulfidlaget har sikkert samme orientering. Malmen er fint laminert og består av vekslende lag av finkornet svovelkis og chert, lagene er ca. 1 mm tykke. Mineraliseringen ligger omtrent 200 m NNV for Vågemineraliseringen, men høyere oppe i basaltsekvensen. Mineraliseringen er ikke omtalt i litteraturen. |
