The mineralisation in the area is exposed within an old excavation pit of ca. 5x5 meters and around 1.5 meter of depth. The host rock is a massive coarse-grained anorthosite without any signs of deformation which is intruded by a medium-grained norite with variable proportions of Fe-Ti-oxides accumulations. The accumulations vary from disseminated (30-50%) to massive (above 80%) Fe-Ti oxides, however, these normally display pockets of 1-2 meters within the norite. The oxides normally occur interstitial to euhedral feldspar crystals, and comprise only (hemo-)ilmenite with magnetite not been observed in the samples analysed.
