| Forekomsten ligger i en sørskråning 2 km sør for Simonesvihus-forekomsten. En skogsbilvei kan følges fra Heddalsvatnet og vestover opp den bratte lia. Det ble skjerpet omkring 1888 av Compagnie des Mines de Bamble, og videre undersøkelser ble foretatt i perioden 1909-1915. Det er anlagt en skråsynk med vegger 7x3 m. Den skal være 10 m dyp med en 2 m lang ort som går mot nordvest i bunnen. Aggregater og strenger av kobberglans, bornitt og kobberkis i middelskornet, melkehvit til glassklar kvarts er prøvetatt (prøve TE0025.02). Vertsbergarten som trolig er en amfibolitt er ikke blotta ved synken. |

| Skjerpet er en vannfylt synk med vegger 3x2 m. Amfibolførende sidestein og kvarts med disseminasjon av bornitt+kobberglans ble prøvetatt (prøve TE0025.01). |
