Forekomsten ligger 70 m nordvest for E 139, og består av en 15 m lang og 1,5-2 m bred dagskjæring med retning 282°, i tett granskog. Skjæringa er opptil 2 m høy i vest. Forekomsten skal være påvist i 1688, og ble da drevet fram til 1692. Mindre forsøksdrift ble gjenopptatt i 1901 og 1905. En rekke 2-20 cm brede, subparallelle kvartsårer/-ganger danner to ca. 20 og 60 cm brede soner med dels rik blyglans, kobberkis og sinkblende mineralisering. Sidebergarten er i hovedsak båndet, trolig kalkførende leirstein som gjenomsettes av grovkornet, feltspatrik intrusiv bergart i nordveggen. |
