I et overdekket og skogvokst område på Tretjennsåsen mellom Dørsjø og Jungeren, nord for Dørja finnes over 20 gruver og skjerp som ble drevet av Kongsberg Sølvverk i perioden 1769 til 1798. På det meste var det 100 mann i arbeid der. Den dypeste gruven «Scara Ertzdyp Grube» (Gruve 14), er 116 m dyp. I tillegg ble det drevet to stoller som til sammen er mer enn 800 m lange. Et pukkverk ble anlagt ved Dørja. Mindre forsøksdrift pågikk også på 1800-tallet. Det ble drevet etter sølv på øst-vest orienterte kalkspat-kvartsganger som skjærer to sulfidførende N-S orienterte soner; fahlbånd, i amfibolittisk, dels gabbroid, gneis og i biotitt-granat førende gneis. I tillegg til sølv finnes også lokalt anrikninger av gull, spesielt der kalkspatgangene førte noe kvarts. Ved befaring i 2009 ble det påvist mindre mengder blyglans og sinkblende i disse gangene, men det er ikke mulig å samle representative prøver av malmen det ble drevet på.
