| Forekomsten ligger ca. 6 km østnordøst for Berg gård og ca. 1,5 km sør for Fremstfjellforekomsten (NT0341). Den ble gjenfunnet av Gale under kartlegging i 1974. Det har vært skutt litt i en knaus, men tidligere historie er ikke kjent og den er ikke beskrevet av Oftedahl (1958). Mineraliseringen opptrer i en linse av grønnstein (6x30 m) som ligger som en inneslutning i granodioritt, og også dels inne i granodioritten. Den består hovedsakelig av få cm brede, kobberkisrike årer. Sammen med kobberkis finnes dels også kvarts, karbonat og magnetitt. Grønnsteinen er kraftig omvandlet, karbonatisert som følge av intrusjonen. Mineraliseringen er kobberrik, men er kun lokal og har ingen økonomisk betydning. |
