Skjerpet ligger i åpent terreng på toppen av en sørvendt brattskrent. Rester ettter taubanen fra Kjøli gruver sees i bunnen av skrenten. Det består av en røsk med sider 4 x 2 m i et stort sett overdekket område. Nord for skjerpet, i heng finnes grågrønn sandstein og i ligg grå sandstein med foliasjon 245°/35.° Mellom disse er en ca. 1 m mektig sone med biotitt-kloritt skifer. Det er lite sulfidmineralisering å se i skjerpet, men på tippen finnes en utskeida malmhaug på ca. 5 m3. Sulfidmineraliseringen består i hovedsak av kobberkis-arsenkis-pyritt årer og aggregater i biotitt-, kloritt- og amfibolrik bergart. Dette er den klart mest As-rike mineralisering som er påvist i Menna-Kjøli feltet.
