The Vaddas occurrences crops out in 25 small showings, on a mountainside 500–750 m.a.s.l. Several kilometres of exploration tunnels have been driven from seven adits. It is continuous outcrop of ore over a length of about 1000 m between two of the adits. An en echelon pattern of ore concentration along the zone is apparent from geophysical data. The average thickness of the ore varies from 0.7 m to 2.8 m. The ore is only partly massive and so-called "massive ore" only contains 40–60 % sulphides, corresponding to approximately 25 % S. It is a pyrrhotite-pyrite ore with clasts of greenstone and quartz fragments. The zinc content is generally very low, <0.1 % Zn. The contents of Ag and Au are also low. The Vaddas deposit is situated at the top of a thick greenstone unit, partly comprising pillow basalts. The deposit has been evaluated for mining several times, especially if combined with the larger Rieppe deposit. Resource calculations show a reserve of 715,000 t at 1.37 % Cu with an ore thickness of 1.5 m or 853,000 t at 1.15 % Cu with a thickness of 2.0 m.

The geology of the Vaddas area, Troms: a key to our understanding of the Upper Allochthon in the Caldonides of northern Norway
;Norges geologiske undersøkelse;ARTIKKEL;NGU Bulletin; No.445;s.5-43 pages
Abstract:
The Vaddas area in the North Norwegian Caledonides is underlain by the Corrovarri Nappe, the uppermost unit of the Kalak Nappe Complex, and the overlying Vaddas Nappe representing the lowermost unit of the Reisa Nappe Complex. Both nappes form part of the Upper Allochthon. Only the upper part of the Corrovarri Nappe, the Nahpojohka Group, which at c.580 Ma was intruded by a rift-type, intracratonic to marginal basin, dolerite dyke swarm and related gabbro source rocks, has been studied in detail. It is proposed that the rocks of the Corrovarri Nappe were deformed during a poorly understood Finnmarkian tectonometamorphic phase, involving subduction and exhumation at around 500 Ma, and were part of the margin of the Baltican continent. The Corrovarri Nappe served as basement for the overlying stratigraphic sequence of the Vaddas Nappe, although the contact now represents a major tectonic break. (Forkortet)

Vaddasgaisa malmfelt.
;Norges geologiske undersøkelse;FAGRAPPORT;Bergarkivet; No.BA 561;24 pages
Abstract:

Kortfattet beskrivelse av A/S Vaddas Gruber.
;Norges geologiske undersøkelse;TEKNISK RAPPORT;Bergarkivet; No.BA 562;10 pages
Abstract:

;Norges geologiske undersøkelse;FAGRAPPORT;NGU-rapport; No.139;18 pages
Abstract:
Geolog Johs Færden anviste feltet i marken. Feltet er kartlagt geologisk av professor Th. Vogt.
